Drug Uses
Cialis is prescribed to treat men who suffer from erectile dysfunction.
How Taken
Cialis comes in the form of a tablet that is taken once a day and is available in different doses (5mg, 10mg and 20mg). Your doctor will analyze your personal situation and prescribe a dose that’s right for you.
Warnings/Precautions
If Cialis is used in combination with other medication that contain nitrates or alpha-blockers, your blood pressure may drop drastically which causes dizziness, feeling faint and even cause a heart attack or stroke. Talk to your doctor and pharmacist if you have blood pressure or heart, kidney and liver problems and if you are lactose intolerant. Caution must be taken when performing hazardous activities such as driving. Furthermore do not drink grapefruit juice during treatment as it increases your chance of side effects.
Missed Dose
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it’s time for your next dose, skip the missed one and resume your normal dosing schedule. Do not double dose.
Possible Side Effects
Symptoms that accompany Cialis are ingestion, headache, muscle aches, flushing and running nose but these side effects usually disappear after a few hours. Back pain and muscle aches usually happen 12 to 24 hours after taking Cialis but disappear with 48 hours. However if symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Storage
Cialis must be stored at room temperature between 15 degrees Celsius and 30 degrees Celsius.
Overdose
If an overdose occurs, seek medical attention.
More Information
Use caution when drinking alcohol as it may cause headaches, dizziness, increased heart rate and low blood pressure. Do not alter your doses unless told by your doctor.
