Drug Uses
Cleocin T is prescribed to treat acne vulgaris.
How Taken
Cleocin T is available in two forms. If using Cleocin T Topical Solution, apply a thin film twice a day to affected area. When using a Cleocin T Topical Solution pledget, apply to affected area then discard pledget.
Warnings/Precautions
Cleocin T contains clindamycin and it is unknown whether it passes through breast milk. Discuss with your doctor if you are pregnant, going to become pregnant or are breast feeding as it may affect your infant.
Missed Dose
Never take two doses at once. If you forgot a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is time for your next dose, skip the last one completely and resume normal schedule.
Possible Side Effects
There have been several side effects that have been associated with orally and parenterally administered Cleocin T. This includes sever colitis, abdominal pain, gastrointestinal disturbances and gram-negative folliculitis.
Storage
All liquid forms should be sealed in a container away from children. If a pledget seal is broken, discard immediately. When you have utilized a pledge, discard after a single use.
Overdose
Adopt appropriate medical measures if an overdose occurs. Cleocin T can produce systemic effects as it can be absorbed in sufficient amounts.
More Information
Caution must be taken when using Cleocin T in conjunction with neuromuscular blocking agents.
