Drug Uses
Esgic Plus is used to treat tension headaches as it a pain reliever and relaxant.
How Taken
This medication should be taken as instructed by your doctor. Esgic Plus comes in the form of capsules or tablets. Adults are recommended to take one or two capsules or tablets every four hours. You should not take more than six capsules or tablets a day if the medication contains 325 mg or 500 mg per dose as it may be harmful.
Warnings/Precautions
Esgic Plus can make you dependant on it so it is important to monitor your use. If the medication is not as strong as it was the beginning or if you are having frequent headaches, do not increase doses as these signs may mean you have become dependant on it. Consult your doctor to rectify the situation.
Missed Dose
Your doctor may have created a schedule for you to take the drugs. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember however if it is time for your next scheduled dose, skip the last one and take the scheduled one. Do not double dose.
Possible Side Effects
Side effects are rare however contact your doctor if any of the following occur, especially if numerous of them occur simultaneously: mental depression, unusual excitement, confusion, sore throat, bleeding or crusting sores on lips, ulcers, hives, itching, skin rash, wheezing, white spots in mouth, breathing difficulty, chest pain, fever, swollen eyelids, face, lips or tongue, red, thickened or scaly skin and muscle cramps.
Storage
Esgic Plus must be stored in a tight container and kept away from children, moisture, heat and direct light.
Overdose
Use caution when combing this medication with alcohol or CNS depressants as it may lead to unconsciousness or death. Overdosing may have the same consequences. If an overdose occurs, seek emergency help immediately.
More Information
Esgic Plus may cause drowsiness or dizziness so use caution if you are performing hazardous activities such as drinking or operating machinery.
