Estrandiol is a drug used to treat different health conditions, including those experienced during menopause. The medicine is formulated to prevent bones from thinning. It also treats vaginal and vulval atrophy and some cancers.

Your doctor will be the one to decide how much dosage you will need and for how long the treatment will take. You may or may not need to keep on taking the medicine every 6 months.

Estrandiol, as well as other medications that contain estrogen, can cause birth defects on the unborn child. So, make sure that you do not take Estrandiol while you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor of your condition during your consultation.

When using Estrandiol, you may experience some side effects such as breast tenderness or enlargement, nausea, enlargement of benign tumors, retention of fluid, darkening of skin and vomiting.

Missed Dose

Take your missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, do not double dose. This means that you should not take the missed dose if it is almost time for the next scheduled dose.

Storage

Store Estrandiol at room temperature. Make sure that your hiding place is away from the reach of children. Discard expired medication.

Overdose

If you suspect an overdose, immediately seek emergency medical help. If there are symptoms that you think are unusual, do the same.
