Uses of Flextra DS

Flextra DS is an analgesic and antipyretic. It is used to treat fever, headache and pain. It is also used by some to relieve pain caused by arthritic conditions.

Take Flextra DS by mouth. Usually, the drug is recommended for use every 4 hours or as specifically prescribed for you by your doctor. Do not go over your dosage and the recommended duration. Usually adults are treated for 10 days and children for 5 days. Consult your doctor if you experience persistent fever or pain.

Safety Guidelines & Possible Side Effects

During your consultation, relate your full medical history. Your doctor will need to know especially if you have allergies, enlarged prostate, glaucoma or lung problems. Flextra DS can cause dizziness and drowsiness, which may be aggravated with alcohol. It can also cause liver damage as with alcohol. Tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding.

Flextra DS may cause nausea. Other unlikely but more serious side effects include dark urine, jaundice, persistent fever, skin redness, stomach pain, swelling and unusual weakness. Talk to your doctor immediately when you experience these symptoms or if any other symptoms persist or worsen.

Missed Dose

Do not take a double dose of Flextra DS. So, only take your missed dose if the next scheduled dose is still not nearly due.

Storage

Store Flextra DS at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Keep it away from light and moisture.

Overdose

Immediately seek emergency medical attention if you experience any of the following symptoms of overdose; agitation, breathing difficulty, extreme nervousness, extreme tiredness, fluctuating temperature, flushing, hallucination, palpitations, seizures, unusual muscle stiffness and vomiting.

More Information

Flextra DS can cause dizziness and drowsiness. It can also cause liver damage. So, ask for medical advice if you are going to drink alcohol, which also causes dizziness, drowsiness and liver damage. Perform potentially dangerous activities with caution if you have no other option but to go through them.
