Uses of Kenalog Aerosol

Kenalog Aerosol is a drug that contains corticosteroid, which alleviates symptoms such as redness, itching and swelling by slowing down the body chemicals that cause them. These symptoms are associated with different skin conditions.

Take Kenalog Aerosol as instructed by your doctor. Wash your hands thoroughly before and after every application. Make sure you shake the aerosol well before using. Spray evenly at 8 to 15cm away from the infected area. The area being treated should not be bandaged, wrapped or enclosed by tight clothing.

Safety Guidelines & Possible Side Effects

During your consultation with your doctor, tell your doctor about your full medical history and about the medications that you are currently taking, whether prescription, non prescription or herbal. Even some supplements may interact with Kenalog Aerosol. Also inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding, pregnant of have the intention of getting pregnant. Conditions that you should especially mention are allergies, skin infections, chickenpox, measles, shingles and tuberculosis. You may be advised against taking Kenalog Aerosol if you have any of the mentioned conditions or your treatment will be closely monitored.

Most patients do not experience side effects, however, there are still risks of getting side effects when it comes to Kenalog Aerosol. Some of these side effects include blurry vision, changes in the menstrual period, easy bruising, excessive hair growth, itching, mild stinging, mood changes, muscle weakness, rise in body temperature and possibly serious allergic reactions.

Missed Dose

Spray the missed dose as soon as you remember.

Storage

Store Kenalog Aerosol at room temperature away from elements of heat, light and moisture. Make sure that it cannot be easily accessed by pets or children. Discard expired medications and empty canisters.

Overdose

If you suspect an overdose, immediately seek emergency medical care.
