Drug Uses
To heal and treat common mouth ulcers, Kenalog is prescribed as it is effective in targeting specific areas in the mouth.
How Taken
Apply the correct amount to cover your mouth ulcers at a convenient time such as just before you go to bed. If required, you can apply it throughout the day but it should not exceed more than four times in 24 hours.
Warnings/Precautions
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, intend to become pregnant or are breast feeding before using Kenalog. After you apply Kenalog, refrain from eating or drinking straight after.
Missed Dose
If you forget to apply Kenalog on your ulcers, apply it as soon as you remember.
Possible Side Effects
As this is a topical treatment, if you use Kenalog for an extended period of time, it may absorb into the body causing side effects especially if the user is an infant or child. If you notice anything bothersome, consult your doctor.
Storage
Keep this medication out of reach of children. Kenalog should not be stored above 30 degrees Celsius. After every use, ensure that you have closed the cap and keep away from moisture and heat.
Overdose
If you think an overdose has occurred from the use of Kenalog, seek emergency help.
More Information
Kenalog should be taken for no more than five days. After you have exceeded this period and your symptoms still remain, contact your health care provider.
