Uses of Levbid

Levbid is a drug prescribed for controlling extreme secretion from the pancreas and extreme stomach acid production. It is also used to control drooling and extreme sweating, which are associated to diseases such as Parkinson’s disease.

Levbid comes in the form of slow-releasing capsules that should be swollen whole with a full glass of water. Levbid capsules should not be crushed, chewed or open.

Safety Guidelines & Possible Side Effects

Before taking Levbid, make sure that your doctor knows if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor will tell you if it is safe to proceed. Mention medical conditions such as allergies, asthma, chronic lung disease, heart disease, liver disease, high blood pressure, numbness/tingling in hands or feet, ulcerative colitis and the enlargement of the prostate.

With the use of Levbid, side effects may occur. These may include bloating, blurred vision, changes in taste, constipation, dizziness, headache, heartburn, large pupils, lightheadedness, nausea, nervousness and sensitivity to light. Continue taking Levbid if you experience these milder symptoms. However, go for emergency medical help and discontinue Levbid if you experience an allergic reaction, flushing, irregular heartbeat, eye pain and rash.

Missed Dose

If you missed a dose of Levbid, take that dose as soon as possible. However, since you should not double dose on the medication, skip the missed one if the next scheduled dose is nearly due.

Storage

Store Levbid at room temperature away from moisture and heat, and from the reach of children.

Overdose

Signs of Levbid overdose include anxiety, blurred vision, confusion, difficulty swallowing, dilated pupils, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, irregular heartbeat, nausea, seizures, vomiting and a weak pulse. Call for emergency medical services at once if you suspect an overdose of if any of the symptoms arise.
