How Taken
Levitra is an FDA-approved medication that is prescribed to treat men who suffer from erectile dysfunction. It comes in the form of an oral tablet and is available in 2.5mg, 5mg, 10mg and 20mg doses. Levitra is effective as it assists in increasing the blood flow to the penis which helps achieve and maintain an erection. It should be taken an hour before sexual activity with or without food and should not exceed more than one dose a day.
Warnings/Precautions
Tell your doctor about any medication you are taking and all your medical conditions before taking Levitra. This includes if you have had angina, heart disease, stroke, high or low blood pressure, liver problems, kidney problems, blood problem, stomach ulcer, eye disease or physical deformities. You may not be able to take this medication or you may need to modify your doses or be monitored.
Missed Dose
As this drug is only taken when essential, it is unlikely you will miss a dose.
Possible Side Effects
Possible side effects may include symptoms such as a stuffy or runny nose, flushing, and headaches to more serious symptoms that includes vision changes or an erection that lasts beyond four hours. If symptoms persist or feel bothersome, seek medical attention.
Storage
This drug should be stored at room temperature away from children.
Overdose
If you suspect an overdose, seek appropriate medical authorities to seize the situation. An overdose may be indicated by back pain, chest pain, abnormal vision, swelling of the ankles or legs, abnormal vision, dizziness.
More Information
If you take any nitrate drugs, have an allergy to a component in Levitra or take alpha-blockers medication, you should not take Levitra. Be aware that Levitra does not protect you against sexually transmitted diseases or HIV.
