Drug Uses
Nasonex is prescribed for adults and children 2 years and older to treat seasonal and perennial nasal allergy symptoms. Within 11 hours of treatment, an itchy nose, runny nose, congestion and sneezing will be eased due to the anti-inflammatory properties in Nasonex.
How Taken
Nasonex is usually taken once a day with the full benefits evident after one or two weeks of usage. Prime the pump then spray twice in each nostril. If you are prone to seasonal allergies, it is best to start taking this medication 2-4 weeks prior to the season.
Warnings/Precautions
Discuss any medical conditions you may have particularly if you suffer from any viral, fungal or bacterial infections, nasal septum ulcers or any nasal damage. It is unknown if Nasonex will harm an unborn baby or if it passes through breast milk therefore it is vital to talk to your doctor before taking Nasonex.
Missed Dose
To avoid missing doses, take Nasonex around the same time every day. If you do miss a spray, take it as soon as you remember.
Possible Side Effects
Side effects characterized by the use of Nasonex may include headache, sore throat, nausea, weakness, weight loss, unusual increase in thirst or urination, unusual nasal bleeding or irritation/pain, vision changes and blood-tinged mucus/phlegm or allergic reaction. If symptoms worsen or continue to be persistent, seek medical attention.
Storage
Nasonex Nasal Spray should be stored at room temperature and be protected from heat and direct light.
Overdose
