Uses of Propecia
Propecia is a drug that is formulated to treat mild to moderate hair loss. The medication is especially made for men. It is proven to treat the vertex and anterior mid-scalp area. It has not yet been determined whether it treats receding hairlines at the temples. Propecia treats hair loss in men by blocking DHT formation. This is the first and so far the only pill that has been FDA-approved to treat male hair loss. It also prevents further hair loss and re-grows hair.
Take the Propecia pill once daily, for a course of 12 months. The treatment is long-term and you may only experience its benefits after three months. If, however, you do not see any effects after twelve months, your treatment is considered unsuccessful. You will be discouraged to proceed with or extend the treatment. The best treatment schedule will be determined by your doctor.
