Uses of Renova

Renova is medicine used to treat facial blemishes such as brown spots, surface roughness and wrinkles. It can also treat stretch marks, even the ones experienced by women after giving birth. Renova is also used to treat acne. Renova is able to solve several skin problems by targeting specific skin cell receptors. If these cell receptors are activated, gene expression, as well as cell growth and other processes, is modified. The epidermal cell is modified so that it can create a larger amount of new skin.

Apply a thin layer of Renova on skin to be treated. Application is scheduled once a day, most conveniently at bedtime. Use a cotton swab or a gauze pad to apply Renova liquid. Wash your hands thoroughly preferably both before and after use. Do not increase prescribed dose as Renova may only increase chances of side effects but will not improve the results. Avoid getting the medication into your eyes, mouth or any open cuts. Note that acne may look as if it got worse after treatment. Do not discontinue therapy. It takes three to six weeks for results to show up. During the course of the treatment, use only mild soap and do not wash excessively. Consult your doctor if you are using other facial treatments.

Safety Guidelines & Possible Side Effects

Renova may increase your sensitivity to cold, sunlight and wind. So avoid prolonged exposure to any of the mentioned. Wear protective clothes or lather some sunscreen if possible. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant or breastfeeding. The product must only be used during pregnancy if it is really needed.

After application, your skin will feel warm or may even have a mild stinging or redness. Your skin may also peel. These side effects should be gone as your skin becomes adjusted to Renova. If the side effects persist or worsen, stop taking Renova. Other side effects include itching and scaling of skin.

Missed Dose

As with oral medications, a missed dose of Renova should be taken as soon as you remember it. Skip the missed application, however, if it is almost time for the next scheduled one.

Drug Storage

Store Renova at room temperature, away from children and from heat and moisture.

Overdose

It is rare for a patient to overdose on Renova. If, however, suspected, immediately call for medical help.

Other Information

Before starting your Renova treatment, make sure that skin rashes from exfoliants or keratolytic preparations have already cleared up.
