Uses of Vermox

Vermox is an oral medication used to treat threadworms and other common worm infections.

Vermox is to be taken orally with water. It is up to your doctor to provide you with a prescription based on your medical condition. Read the prescription label to be sure but ultimately follow the instructions given by your doctor.

Safety Guidelines & Possible Side Effects

Vermox should not be given to children younger than two years old. It must not be taken if you suspect that you are pregnant, are planning to get pregnant or are breastfeeding. Inform your doctor about your plans or your condition. The drug may affect your unborn child or nursing baby negatively. So, it is important not to take the drug when pregnant of breastfeeding.

Side effects are likely to be mild. You may experience abdominal pain and diarrhea that will not take long to ease up. You may also experience some allergic reactions, characterized by tightening of the throat, rashes, itching, swelling and difficulty of breathing.

Missed Dose

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember and are still within a safe number of hours to the next scheduled dose. If it is nearly time to take the next dose then completely skip the missed dose to avoid doubling up.

Drug Storage

Store Vermox at temperatures 25°C and below. Keep it away from direct light and from the reach of children. Do not use expired medicine. So, make sure you check for the expiry date before ingesting.

Overdose

Immediately inform a doctor if you or someone else has taken more than the recommended dosafe of Vermox.

Other Information

Because Vermox does not have a lot of associated side effects, there are no restrictions in terms of what foods to eat, beverages to drink or activities to perform while on this medication.
