Clarinex is taken in the form of a tablet. It is taken once daily, more likely before sleeping. Your doctor may also give you a different dosage so examine and follow your prescription.
If you have experienced a previous allergic reaction to an antihistamine or have a liver or kidney disease, you may need special monitoring. Your dosage may also be adjusted. Consult a doctor if you are pregnant, planning to be pregnant or breastfeeding. The effects of Clarinex to the unborn child or the quality of breast milk are yet unknown.
Once you remember that you have missed a dose, take one immediately. Make sure, however, that you do not double dose or take two doses within a short period of time from each other.
If you experience any side effects, talk to your doctor. You may be asked to reduce your dose or to completely stop taking Clarinex. There are also side effects that require emergency assistance, such as breathing difficulty, hives, itching, palpitations and swelling. It is more common for you, however, to experience dizziness, fatigue, muscle pain, nausea, sleepiness or sore throat.
